Battery corrosion is not good. It’s usually a result of the battery under or over-charging depending on which terminal has the corrosion. Either way it’s a sign of a problem and if left unchecked can turn a minor repair into a very expensive one. If caught early we can clean the corrosion and spray and anti-corrosive to prevent it from recurring; however if the corrosion is left unchecked it will eat the battery terminal and the corrosion will get into the wiring. At that point it becomes an expensive fix as we may have to splice new wire into the wiring harness or replace it completely.
