10 Questions To Help You Pick the Right Mechanic |
|
|
| |
1. Am I in the right garage?
There are many choices out there when it comes to taking your car in for
repair. These include going to the dealership, a chain store, service
station, specialty repair shop or independent service station.
Dealerships typically specialize in newer vehicles under factory
warranties, so your best bet for general automotive care is an
independent service station. You want to keep as many of your services
under one roof so your mechanic knows the history of your vehicle, your
driving habits and therefore has a better idea of what's going wrong or
how prior issues could be related to current problems.

2. Are they certified in what you need
fixed?
It's pretty easy to put an ASE-certified logo on your website, but did
you know that there are actually 8 different specialties? It doesn't
help you if the mechanic is certified to conduct smog checks if you need
brake repair. That's why we have ASE specialty mechanics and a Master
Tech(certified in all 8) to cover any repair job. Part of our 10-step
repair process is putting the right mechanic on the job. |
